Our Instructors

Jerry E. "Buster" McDaniel, II

Buster is an NRA certified rifle, pistol, shotgun, personal protection, reloading, and home firearm safety instructor. He is also an NRA certified Chief Range Safety Officer and a Glock Armorer. He is certified by the State of Georgia as a Police Officer and completed SWAT School in 2011. He has 20 years experience in crime prevention and personal protection training. Buster is president of several companies that sell and install security/communications equipment, provide crime prevention/personal protection, and firearms training.

Ed Wilson

Ed has 14 years of experience as a law enforcement officer, SWAT entry team leader, bomb technician, and firearms instructor. He holds certifications as a Law Enforcement Instructor in the areas of firearms, shotguns, defensive tactics, OC Spray, and Taser and is a Glock, Smith and Wesson, Remington, and H&K armorer.

Dustin Hendrix

Dustin is a ten year law enforcement service member. For the past five years he has served as an educator for two Northeast Georgia agencies as well as assisting with firearms training at the regional police academy. He instructs in the areas of General Law Enforcement, Firearms, Shotgun, SWAT and Defensive Tactics and is a Glock armorer.

Barry Chandler

Barry has 7 years of law enforcement experience. The past 3 years Barry has been an entry team member on his departmental SWAT team. Barry has earned approximately 1300 hours of various law enforcement training with an emphasis in the areas of SWAT and Firearms. Barry holds Law Enforcement instructor certifications as a General Instructor and Firearms Instructor. He also holds instructor certifications in Chemical and Specialized Impact Munitions, OC Aerosol Sprays and distraction devices.

All of our instructors have years of shooting instruction under their belts, and are certified as instructors by the NRA as well as the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council. We teach proven marksmanship fundamentals and solid tactical concepts. Our instructors are experts with handguns, shotguns, and tactical rifles; and many have experience on SWAT teams and Bomb Squads. With HCM, you never have to worry if the instructor really knows what he's teaching.
